Palaver Petes Cowboy Action Shooting Site.

Howdy Pards:
I grew up playing Cowboy with my friends and loved ones in San Jose, California. Back then San Jose smelled of Prunes and Apricots. Today it's no longer known as Santa Clara County, it's better known as Silicone Valley--a tribute to man's ability to destroy a pristine environment. Well, forget that--I left SJ long ago and completed a 26 year military career in 1979. After that I held a few positions around the Pacific Northwest before fully retiring in 1996. I now live in Sunriver, Oregon with my wife of 50 years, Sandy (Leak) Pedone. We have two children who are no longer children, but parents of 5 and soon we will have a great grand child. Anyway, one of the things I do now, when not skiing or playing tennis is Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS). We play with real guns that were used during our nations movement west. We shoot real bullets at metal targets under the clock. The Scenarios we use are called "Stages," and each stage has a situation requiring you to use your guns and foil the bad guys. The Guns we use are Revolvers (like Colts) and Lever Action Rifles, like Winchester 66's or 73's, and Shotguns, either side by side shotguns or pump shotguns like the Winchester 97. Want to join in on the fun and become a member of the Single Action Shooting Society? Well then, go to http://www.sassnet.com and find out how to join-up. You're a Daisy if Ya do!
